Off-Air Fiber Link TRANSMITTER for passing off-air 8VSB TV channels over SingleMode fiber, 5 dB optical loss budget for distances up to 10 Km. ÊUse fiber optic system to avoid signal attenuation normally associated with coaxial cable, plus the lightning protection advantage of fiber, and capability to pass signals over a long distance of fiber. Ê Transmitter can be placed in customer provided NEMA box on tower, with 24 vdc power provided by customer. ÊOutdoor rated TX unit can operate in temp range of -20 to +80 degree C. ÊINPUT: one to twenty off air 8VSB TV channels in 54-800 Mhz range into one F connector (with minimum +15 dBmV level for each channel, with no more than 10 dB level difference between input channels), OUTPUT: Ê1310 nm optical band on SC/APC connector. Place 1 to 20 OffAir TV channels onto one singlemode fiber, for transport over long distances, to feedÊcompanionÊfiber optic receiver unit, without need for RF amplifiers. Ê
